When faith moves, the world changes.
Migrant Christ (Cristo Migrante) exists to help people rediscover how the Gospel becomes flesh in the world through love, justice, and accompaniment.
We believe every act of welcome, every defense of dignity, and every open table is the Church at her best — faith in action.
Our work centers on migrant and mixed-status families, whose journeys reveal what it means to hope against fear and to build community across borders. By walking with them, we learn again how to walk with Christ.
Inspired by St. Frances (Mother) Cabrini, patroness of migrants, and guided by Our Lady of Guadalupe, Migrant Christ continues the mission that Pope Francis once called forth and that Pope Leo XIV now renews: a Church that goes out, accompanies, and makes mercy visible.
We live this call through four Gospel commitments:
- Welcome – Opening our doors and hearts.
- Protect – Standing with the vulnerable against fear and injustice.
- Promote – Honoring the gifts and leadership migrants bring.
- Integrate – Building communities where diversity deepens unity.
Migrant Christ equips parishes and communities with formation, prayer, and practical tools to build ministries of accompaniment. We share stories of faith and resilience so that others may see how Catholic Social Teaching becomes not just words on a page, but love in motion.
Rooted in the Gospel and faithful to the Church, we serve without discrimination, honoring the image of Christ in every person.
